MS CompetenciesThe Role of the Enterprise Software Advisor

Microsoft's changes to its licensing programs affect current and prospective Open License, Select, and Enterprise Agreement customers. The way in which your organization is affected by these changes depends on the types of agreements you have today and the decisions you make about how to use Microsoft®products in the future. Microsoft's new licensing programs change how you acquire and administer volume licenses for Microsoft products, and how you upgrade to the newest product versions.

Computer Revolution Africa now acts as Microsoft Enterprise Software Advisors (ESAs) for Enterprise Agreements. Customers may still receive standard Enterprise Agreement pricing information from ESAs, but ESAs no longer act as intermediaries by negotiating pricing for these agreements. Microsoft now negotiates Enterprise Agreement prices with your organization and bills you directly. This new direct billing model takes price shopping out of the software reseller mix, allowing you to choose a reseller based on services that provide the greatest value to your organization.

Microsoft recommends that you identify the ESA you will work with throughout the term of your Enterprise Agreement as early in the sales cycle as possible; customers must name an ESA prior to accepting any EA agreement. Computer Revolution Africa welcomes our role as a Microsoft ESA; we will be happy to answer any questions you may have about Microsoft's licensing programs. In addition, we look forward to meeting your software asset management needs by providing you with unmatched volume licensing, e-services, and capabilities.

If you would like to know more about publisher licensing programs and software asset management solutions, please feel free to contact us. We'll be happy to talk with you about how CRA can bring value to your organization as your Microsoft ESA. We look forward to hearing from you!

CRA provides standard Enterprise Agreement (EA) price lists on behalf of Microsoft Corporation. Under Microsoft's current EA licensing program, Microsoft establishes all pricing directly with the customer.
